Paying Your Rent
Rent is due weekly every Monday in advance, you can pay every two weeks or every month in advance if you prefer. There are two non rent weeks (weeks when you do not have to make a payment unless you are in arrears).
 
Rent can be paid the following ways:
 
Direct Debit 
Direct Debit
If you have a bank or a giro account, you can arrange to make weekly, fortnightly or monthly Direct Debit payments to Hyndburn Homes on whichever date is more convenient for you. Please contact us if you wish to pay rent by this method.
 
Shop or Outlet

You can pay rent at any Post Office by cash, cheque or debit card or any retail outlet displaying the Pay Point logo. Simply take your swipe card to the counter together with your payment. You will be given a receipt as proof of payment which we recommend you keep in a safe place.
 
Over the Internet
Allpay image
You can pay online, simply go to www.allpay.net your bill payments website and when prompted enter the nineteen digit payment number on your swipe card. You can request a receipt of your payment to your e-mail address.
 
By Telephone
You can pay rent via telephone by debit or credit card direct to our office using the RBS World Pay payment option.
You can also pay by calling our 24 hour line 0844 557 8321. You will need your rent payment card and a debit or credit card to pay by this method.
 
Standing Order
You can pay your rent by Standing Order, to do this you will need to contact this office to request a Standing Order mandate, complete it and return it to your bank or building society.
 
By Post
We accept payment by post, by cheque or postal order. Please make sure that you write your name address on the back.
 
Payment by Housing Benefit
If you are on a low income or are claiming benefits, you may be entitled to help with your rent payments. Housing Benefit is designed to help you pay rent for your home. If you think you might be eligible you need to get a form and claim. You can get claim forms at Hyndburn Borough Council’s Housing Benefit Department at the Accrington Town Hall or telephone them on 01254 388111 to request an application.
